The City University of Macau (hereafter CityU Macau) has long been committed to advancing the digitalization of teaching and academic affairs. On November 8, a delegation led by Chief Administrative Officer Su Chin-hsiung—joined by Chief Financial Officer Kuo Chi-piao, Director of Facilities Management Wu Chia-hui, and Director of Information Technology Chen Jui-sheng—visited National Taiwan University, Tamkang University, and other institutions. On November 9, the delegation was invited to WisdomGarden, where Dr. Michael Cheng, WisdomGarden Group Chairman and President of the WisdomGarden Education Research Institute, together with WisdomGarden CEO YC Heng and members of the Education Research Institute team, joined in an in-depth discussion of the trends, challenges, and potential models of higher-education digitalization at home and abroad.

During its visit to Taiwan, the CityU Macau delegation first traveled to Tamkang University, a school with extensive experience in higher-education digitalization. Guided by CIO Kuo Ching-hua, the team was introduced to Tamkang's campus-digitalization initiatives, including its software cloud (virtual computer classrooms), RFID-based self-service book borrowing and returns, a Learning Commons, and a Non-Book Resources Center that centrally manages non-book materials. On the innovation and service side of teaching management, the university enthusiastically shared the operation and rollout of iClass—an innovative teaching-management platform built on TronClass in partnership with WisdomGarden—demonstrating its long-term commitment to digitalizing teaching practice around the real needs of teachers and students.

The CityU Macau team also made a special visit to NTU's School of Professional Education and Continuing Studies, where Executive Director Wu Hui-fen and Business Director Wu Hai-yen shared the school's more than 50 years of experience in continuing education—how it connects faculty, hardware and software, and environmental resources across NTU's colleges to effectively develop and operate a rich array of continuing-education courses. To integrate its rapidly expanding teaching resources and improve the experience and outcomes of blended online-and-offline teaching, the school formally adopted an innovative teaching-management platform in September 2017—co-built with WisdomGarden and designed to keep pace with open talent-development trends—giving its faculty and students a more flexible and diverse teaching environment.

The exchange session at WisdomGarden, chaired by Dr. Michael Cheng, opened up a wide-ranging discussion—from international trends in academic affairs and teaching development and the challenges of cultivating innovative talent, to the evolution of higher-education digital platforms. CityU Macau's Chief Administrative Officer Su and Director Chen each spoke from the perspective of overall institutional management and the building and operation of the university's information platforms, sharing their school's progress. Having toured NTU, Tamkang, and other institutions, the CityU Macau leaders offered the WisdomGarden team highly positive recognition for its dedication to advancing innovative teaching-and-management trends and practice. The two sides went on to discuss future topics, hoping this Taiwan–Macau exchange would gradually broaden to foster sharing and interaction among more universities committed to transforming teaching management, and looking forward to further opportunities for exchange and cooperation in the pursuit of teaching innovation in higher education.
