WisdomGarden’s First Stop: TronClass and ROOMIS Make Their Public Debut
This seminar was where WisdomGarden first came into the view of higher-education IT leaders across Taiwan.
WisdomGarden took part in a national event for the first time with an exhibition booth, introducing TronClass and ROOMIS
In November 2014, the Maopang Hall at Tunghai University hosted the "CCDS2014 National Seminar for Higher-Education IT Administrators." Commissioned by the Ministry of Education, the two-day event brought together computing center directors, chief information officers, and division heads from colleges and universities nationwide, with an agenda spanning cybersecurity, cloud classrooms, big data, mobile development, and endpoint devices—covering nearly every facet of smart campus development at the time.

For WisdomGarden, this seminar held special significance: it was the first time WisdomGarden took part in a national event with an exhibition booth, and the first time it formally promoted its own products to the public—the TronClass learning management platform and the ROOMIS smart classroom solution.
It was the moment WisdomGarden stepped out from behind its R&D team and stood before the nation's IT leaders for the first time.
The two-day agenda was rich in content—from the opening keynote "Finding the Joy of Knowledge in Nature," to the "2014 Survey Report on the Current State of Information Departments and Key IT Issues in Taiwan's Higher Education Institutions," and on to sessions on emerging technology such as cloud classroom integration, OpenStack on campus, and the evolution of cloud security—capturing the atmosphere of a moment when campus IT development was rapidly moving toward the cloud and the smart campus.
Rather than arranging a formal speaking slot, WisdomGarden chose to connect face-to-face with IT leaders from across Taiwan through its booth, during coffee breaks and the gaps between sessions. TronClass and ROOMIS were introduced for the first time to these key figures who shape the direction of campus IT, and the questions most often asked at the booth were how the learning management platform could help schools integrate teaching resources, and how the smart classroom solution could bring teaching spaces closer to the needs of digitalization.
Every product has a starting point in its story. For WisdomGarden, CCDS2014 was exactly that—beginning with a single booth and one face-to-face conversation after another, it gradually made its way into the digital learning landscape of Taiwan's higher education.
